Boronia Juniors - Firefighters of the Future

The Boronia fire Brigade also has a Junior Fire Brigade!

The junior brigade is open to everyone under the age of 16 to develop several skills which can be used in the future as an operational fire fighter and also transfer into everyday life.

The Junior Brigade was established in 2005 and currently consists of 8 members.

The junior fire Brigade meets every second Thursday (except school holidays), usually at the Boronia Fire Station. Lead by senior members of the Brigade and auxiliary team, the juniors learn and put into practice leadership, team work, communication skills and safety. Practical learning is also involved with fire fighting equipment at the station and on our appliances.
